produce a car for the movie. The music is also rather grand, the traditional theme tune attributing the

The audience is rather mass as it has an international appeal being an iconic franchise. It is rated a 12+ and
I think that it would be enjoyed mostly by older audiences who are more likely to have seen the previous
films, and are attracted to the sleek cars, attractive females featured in the films and the epic action
sequences.

Mass audience – very large audience figures as it is the 24th instalment of a well-loved series with an
established fan base likely to support it. Has achieved international acclaim.
3. Paddington (2015)

the family; featuring many comical and exaggerated scenes.
How would you describe the style of this film?
It has a light-hearted feel as it aims to delight all of the family with the character of Paddington who is
sweet and likeable.
How would you describe the target audience for this film?
It is targeted towards a family audience and younger children are encouraged to view the movie with
the family. The light hearted themes and conventional representations with the use of iconic and
fictional character Paddington coming to life aim to give families an escape from everyday life.
What is the likely size of the potential audience for this film?
It is likely to appeal to a mass audience within Europe as its use of iconic character Paddington gives a
sense of nostalgia as it brings even adults back to the time when they read the books meaning they
should be able to appreciate it, and their children will enjoy its light-hearted and heart-warming story.

it also appeals to its audience with comedy with their characters such as talking
creatures which are particularly entertaining for younger audiences. It is also an
adventure as it follows the activities of the unique team.

It is based on action and the battles between the heroes and antagonists, who will fight against each other
for their Earth’s safety. The team must bond and work together to achieve this common goals, and so the
plot is lead by the development of their relationships.

It aims to impress the viewer with the use of top-notch special effects such as fictional characters that
appear to exist physically within this setting, and the authentic-looking make-up used to make characters
look alien.

It is targeted towards a mass audience, being from a conglomerate producer with many other successful
works. Its action-packed scenes and slightly mature comedy means it appeals to ages around 12-30 years,
but I also believe parents would watch it with their children.

Hunger Games features themes of rebellion, death, sacrifice and conflict of love
and war, following the teenage characters’ struggle as they are put through a test
of their wills.
How would you describe the style of this film?
The style of the film is rather intense, keeping the viewer on the edge of their seat. It is also rather
gritty, reflecting the characters’ struggle during times of conflict and struggle. However this is
sometimes alleviated to include moments of romance, exploring the love relationships between
characters to perhaps add a sense of realism.
How would you describe the target audience for this film?
I believe the target audience for The Hunger Games series is primarily teenagers (ages 13-20), with
the characters being older teenagers meaning this kind of audience can somewhat relate or image
themselves in similar situations.
What is the likely size of the potential audience for this film?
Mass audience as the film was highly successful. Additionally being based on the highly
recommended book series it was guaranteed to have supporters. Being targeted towards
teenagers/young adults the potential audience is also huge.
