The Topic for next week as we already discussed is “MY FAMILY”.
BENCHMARKS & STANDARDS TO BE COVERED AS A TEAM:

ELA:
ELA1.GPK1: Identifies 10 or more upper or lowercase letters (e.g., letters in child’s own
name, letters in familiar words, and letter in words in own environment).
ELA1.GPK4: Reads own first name.
ELA2.GPK1: Speaks in English to convey basic needs (e.g., I need to use the bathroom.
I’m hungry).
ELA2. GPK2: Speaks in English using grade level and subject appropriate vocabulary.
ELA2.GPK5: Takes turns speaking in a group with teacher assistance.
MATH:
M1. GPK.NN1: Verbally counts in sequence to 10.
M1. GPK.NN2: Counts objects with one to one correspondence and knows the last
counting word tells “how many”.
M1. GPK.DC2: Uses graphs to answer simple questions.
M1. GPK.PFA1: Recognizes and matches attributes of objects, such assize, shape, and
color by using rules to sort objects.
SCIENCE:
S1.GPK.1: Knows vocabulary (e.g., rainy, windy, sunny) for different types of weather.
S1.GPK.7: Sorts objects based on observable properties.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
SS1.GPK.1: Finds key locations in school (e.g., bathroom, classroom, office).
SS2.GPK.1: Knows his or her own full name (i.e., first and last), gender, age and place
in family.
SS2.GPK.2: Knows the members of a family.
SS4.GPK.1: Knows examples of authority in school and home setting (e.g., teacher,
assistant, mom and dad).
SS4.GPK.2: Understands rules of a classroom.
These are the benchmarks. Our job is to create fun and meaningful activities in order to
