2. Who Created the Periodic Table
Dmitri Mendeleev created the Periodic Table of Elements in
1869.
He created it to organize all the elements known.
3. How the Table is Organized
The table is organized by the Atomic Weight
Then grouped into rows and columns based on their Chemical
and Physical properties .
Periods go left and right and
groups go up and down.
4. Element Relationships
All the elements have the same out valence electrons in each
group.
They go in increasing atomic mass and number.
5. Hydrogen
Hydrogen (H) has the atomic number is 1 with an Atomic Mass
of 1.00794.
Hydrogen is one of the elements needed to make water.
It is the lightest element and makes up about 90% of the
Universes weight.
6. Oxygen
Oxygen (O) has the atomic number of 8 with and Atomic Mass of
15.994.
Oxygen is the other element that is used to make water (H₂O)
along with Hydrogen.
Water is mostly made up of Oxygen, and it takes up most of the
mass of living organisms.
7. Platinum
Platinum (Pt) has the Atomic number of 78 and Atomic Mass of
195.084.
Platinum is used for most American Jewelry and factory uses.
When Hydrogen and Oxygen gas mixtures explode when in the
presence of Platinum wire.
