2. The Burial Process begins by taking the corpse to the “Ibu” tent also know as the place of purification, there the body is washed with palm wine and washed with water from the Nile

4. The brain is removed next, to do this a hook is shoved up the corpses nose the hook is wiggled around to mash the brain up and finally the brain is yanked out through the nose
5. The body is then stuffed in any holes and covered in Natron salts to dry it out Salt inside the corpses body
6. After 40 days in Natron salts the body is washed again with water from the Nile river
7. The dried organs from step 2 are wrapped in linen and are stuffed back into the body, the body is also stuffed with dry materials such as leaves and sawdust to make the body look more lifelike. Fragrant oils are also poured all over the corpse
8. Next the body is wrapped in linen starting with 1.the head then the hands and feet then 2. the arms and legs then the body 3. placing amulets between each layer of linen to protect in the underworld 4. while this is happening a priest is reading spells

When the body has been wrapped, 1. a cloth is put over the mummy and then a picture of the Egyptian god Osiris is painted on the cloth, 2. then another sheet of cloth is placed over that and the body is put in a coffin, a funeral is held for the family to mourn. 4. then the ritual of the opening of the mouth occurs so the corpse can eat and drink in the afterlife and finally it is buried with all its belongings
