6. ACHIEVEMENT
•Beckham made her debut appearance on the catwalk as a model for Maria
Grachvogel during London Fashion Week in 2000. In 2006, she took to the
runway again for Roberto Cavalli in Milan.
•In 2003, she was named British Ambassador for Dolce & Gabanna and was
announced as the face of street wear label Roca wear alongside Naomi
Campbell.
•She collaborated with denim label Rock and Republic in 2003 on a line of
jeans, but split from them in September 2006 to create her own denim
line.
•Well known for her love of oversized sunglasses, she also launched an
eyewear collection in 2006. The same year that her fragrance
line, Intimately Beckham, was introduced.
•In 2007, she was awarded two British Glamour Magazine Awards, for
Woman of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year, in celebration of her
fashion achievements.
•She launched her first collection, consisting only of dresses, for
spring/summer 2009. She introduced handbags to her line for
spring/summer 2011, and coats for autumn/winter 2011. Her designs have
gained a celebrity following with the likes of Michelle Williams, Gwyneth
Paltrow and Blake Lively choosing them for red-carpet appearances.

"Even if I wouldn't wear something myself, I think I know how
women feel, how women want to look... I can really relate to
women, I get on very well with women… Some women don't. I
want to empower [them], make [them] feel [like] the best
version of themselves.“
•Inspired from 40s and 50s as corsetry plays a
huge role in the collection.
•Gives an illusion of shape by giving bigger
shoulder pads and having the corsets gives
the illusion of tiny waists.
