Increasing Your Productivity
“2 Easy Tips To Start Your Day Productively”
I’ve dedicated many years of life to study successful people in the world. More than
my interest on what they’ve created, I’ve been obsessed on understanding why
they’ve accomplished so much and what similar traits they share among
themselves.
It doesn’t matter where they were born or the social status they grew up in, they all
shared common traits and habits that made them who they are today. They could
have been raised many miles from each other, but they all had knowledge of this
universal key to success.
I wanted to make this eBook an easy read. This eBook has been written as a
summary of 2 helpful tips that successful people have established as habits in their
daily lives. They may sound a bit simple and familiar, but don’t undermine the
power of these tools because they’ve worked for the elite people in the world. I also
want to clarify that when I say elite, it’s not referring to the rich and famous of the
world but instead I call elite to the people that have truly transformed the planet.
People like Mother Teresa, Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer, Oprah, Deepak Chopra,
Sir Richard Branson just to name a few, have taken the game into a different level.
They’ve excelled in their fields and have helped millions of people around the
world, transforming their lives for better.
These tips are simple but powerful. Don’t undermine what you’ll learn today
because they will certainly help you improve your life and giving you guidance so
you can allow yourself to start your day in a very productive way, which will
determine how the rest of your day goes.

Even though these tips may sound familiar and that “you already know them”, I’m
certain that you’re not applying them. How do I know this? Because I see the world
and talk with people every day, noticing that the majority of them feel like
something’s missing in their lives. I speak with people that hate waking up to go to
work because their jobs are not fulfilling. I know people that are determined to find
a problem to any solution. But most shocking of all, I see people lost in today’s
world, living life in automatic mode, forgetting what’s truly important in life. These
people that live every day the same way, reach a point of regret into the future and
then feel it’s too late for them to live life on their terms.
If you’re reading this, you’ve been given a great gift. You have eyes to see these
letters, you have language skills to understand these words and most important of
all, you have an inner desire within you to live a more successful life.
1. No Electronics
You might have been caught by surprised with this first point but let me clarify it a
bit. This doesn’t mean that you can’t check out your phone or whatever device you
use. You can, but it shouldn’t be the first thing you start using when you wake up.
As soon as you open your email’s inbox, you’re trapped in the daily routine. Take a
break from electronics and try practicing some “me” time. Your inbox and
messages are full of requests from others that need or want something from you,
don’t give them this power so early in the morning.
If you have a partner or children or any other person that lives with you, ask them
for 6 minutes of silence. Let them know you’re in the process of becoming more
successful by incorporating some habits into your morning routine and to please
give you 6 minutes of complete individuality. I’m pretty confident that if you express
your true desire to others to work on inner improvement, they should at least give
you 6 minutes.

a. The first 2 minutes should be dedicated on thinking about 3 things you’re
grateful for. It could be anything that pops in your mind; the objective is
to feel true appreciation for what life has given you.
When you do this exercise, your brain will start associating this
gratefulness with positive sensations and it would make you feel happier.
I don’t believe that feeling at least a bit happy every morning (even
though your life may not be what you dream of yet) is wrong for anyone,
do you?
b. The second set of 2 minutes should be dedicated to send blessings and
best wishes to people rather than yourself. DON’T think negatively about
anyone, at this moment you MUST focus on wishing the best to whoever
pops in your mind.
When you do this, you connect with the higher energy of sharing. When
you genuinely share, it’s impossible to feel bad. When you truly wish the
best to someone, I’m certain you can imagine them having an amazing
and joyful day. How cool would it be to make someone else’s day by
dedicating 2 minutes of your time to wish the best for them?
c. The last 2 minutes are the ones you must OWN! Focus on what you
want to accomplish during the day and visualize yourself completing
those goals. Don’t only see them, FEEL inside you how you’d feel when
you accomplish them. Celebrate achieving your daily goals, how would
that make you feel? How would it change your life?
Whatever the mind believes, it can achieve. By feeling this goal being
completed, you program your brain to feel that you’ve already

accomplished it so it will program itself to do whatever it has to
accomplish the goal. If your brain thinks you’re able to do it, it will do it.
Remember, it’s only 6 minutes. Can you really not afford 6 minutes every morning?
Would you risk having a successful day by not taking only 6 minutes for yourself?
And yes, if you really feel that you’re dying without your phone…you can check
your electronic devices after this exercise.
2. Change Your Focus
Whatever you focus on, you’ll feel. Have you ever had a bad experience that made
you feel bad and then you start having all of these random negative thoughts? You
first think about the situation and end up thinking on far worse things that haven’t
even occurred. Your mind keeps going and going, creating worse and even worse
scenarios until you reach a point that you feel worse than before.
This also works the other way around. This happens because whatever you focus
on, you’re brain will get to work and will make you have that feeling. Imagine
you’ve just won 1 million dollars in the lottery. You feel great and then your mind
wanders to a scenario where you’re imagining what you’ll do with the money. You
start “day dreaming” into a place of happiness because that money will be of great
help in your life. Sooner than later, you’re flying on a private plane across the world
and you haven’t even cashed the ticket yet.
Your brain is very powerful and if you learn where to focus, you’ll start going into
that direction. Many people wake up every morning and focus on the huge
problems they have and think about all the many things they have to do that same
day. They begin feeling a bit stressed because they just have too much work to do
and so many responsibilities and in a short while, they say to themselves “I wish I
could just stay home” or even “I hate my job” and maybe “This is going to be a

crappy day”. Because they focused on this so early, this is what they’ll feel for the
rest of their day and their productivity will decrease and your success will seem so
far away.
Try this for a change. Focus on the best things you can focus on. If you have an
enormous pile of work to do, focus on how much you enjoy completing tasks and
challenging yourself. Focus on the great things you have in your life (remember the
appreciation exercise above? It prepares you for this moment), or even focus on
great experiences you’ve had in your life. Your brain will instantly start to bring
thoughts of happiness, success, fulfillment and the best part is, it doesn’t take
much time and you can do it anywhere.
Every moment you feel your focus is going into negative situations, reprogram
yourself and change your focus. I can guarantee you that as you focus on
successful moments, you’ll start to feel more and more successful which will make
your brain believe you already are, and will program your body to go towards it.
It has been a privilege for me to share these short but powerful tips that can help
you reprogram yourself every morning. For those interested in more about the
science behind this, feel free to read about Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP.
You’ll be able to find many books and short reads about rewiring your brain to align
it to work towards success.
It is my true desire that you become more and more successful in your life. These
tips I’ve shared can definitely change your day and no matter what occurs, now
you know that you have the power to control how you feel. When you’re able to
control your emotions, it’ll be easier to control your actions.
Wishing you an extremely successful life,
Néstor Castillero N.
