2. INTRODUCTION
• After the mainframe era , mini-computing era,personal
computer and client-server era and the most common
Web era,we are now in the fifth wave of the corporate IT.
• This fifth wave comprises of social,mobile,analytics and
cloud computing and is collectively know as SMAC
technology.
• This technology aims at improving business ,its
operations and getting closer to the customers with
minimal overheads and maximum reach.
• The main motive of this technology is to connect to
customers socially ,providing mobility while they
communicate ,shop and work, analyzing customers
consumption patterns regarding certain goods through
analytics and providing a new way to access technology
through cloud computing.

3. TRENDS
• The SMAC technology is going to take over the
market soon as it has become a top priority for
businesses.
• The mobile market is expected to generate
revenues in billions by 2017.
• SMAC is estimated to generate revenue between
$70 - $200 billion over next three years.
• SMAC is taking the future by storm.

4. INTEREST AREAS
• If given a chance I would like to work as an intern
in the field of cloud area of the SMAC
technologies.
• I would like to work on a system that allows the
business to respond to the customers effectively
and fast.
• The system will provide customers , the ease of
access to information and data storage. Along
with this, privacy and security that are a major
concern of customers will be worked upon.
