10. Common App Matching
• Important!

• Each student must use a unique email address –
once an email has been entered, no other student
can use the same email address to match accounts

•Instead of completing a fee waiver for every
Common App college, you will just complete one
fee waiver and it will be applied to all Common
App college applications
21. Opting In (or Out) of Common App
Integration
• All schools that have an active Naviance
eDocs subscription as of July 16, 2013 will be
opted in to the Common App integration
• Schools that wish to opt out of the integration
will see a button on “Setup > Preferences >
eDocs” starting on July 17
• We will notify Common App of schools that opt
out of the integration
22. Other Changes and Updates
• GPA will have 5 places
• If a 4-point scale, then GPA can be reported with up
to four decimal places
• If a 100-point scale, then max would be 2 decimal
places (if GPA was over 100), but more likely 3
decimal places (ex: 96.314)
23. Document Requests from Colleges
Some Parchment Exchange colleges have the
ability to request transcripts from high schools
• Student completes online application on
college website
• Student directed to Parchment to complete a
transcript request
• Request goes to sending institution and includes
the Applicant ID for the student (similar to NCAA
process)
• Student or parent must register or sign in to make
the transcript request
26. Document Requests from Colleges
Transcripts
requested in this
manner will appear
on the home page
of Naviance

Notas do Editor
Register for a CA4 Account Enter High School Information Add at least one College After step 3, the CA Waiver and FERPA info will be available Sign FERPA (you need to do all the above to be able to even see the FERPA) Go to Naviance & Match!
Second paragraph contains a very thorough explanation of what FERPA is and why/how it matters to colleges in the recommendation review process. Third paragraph informs student that they should consult with a counselor or other school official if they are not sure what to choose.
Remember the phrase “Invite a recommender” – it will be important later on when we talk about matching
Last year, fewer than 50 students requested that their FERPA choice be changed. The thoroughness of the language and the explanation of what FERPA is and what it means in the recommendation process will probably help reduce confusion on this topic.
This form replaces the form that was previously accessible only by clicking on a link within the NACAC SR form. This will be much easier to see, and counselors will easily know if it has been completed or not.
“ Passing mark” requires a numerical answer. Note that you can see who last updated the form and when.
Can see that the form has been updated. Use the “x” to make this message go away.
Can we get a screenshot of the actual permissions?
