PROJECT VISUALIZATION
 BIM Execution Plan is prepared explaining BIM
uses on the project and benefits of BIM
 BEP includes procedures on how BIM services
implementation, analyses carried out and
deliverables produced – overall implementation
and strategy
 Developing of BIM model includes careful
analysis and reviews of all original design
data.
 Entire design is developed and reviewed in BIM
authoring tools
 BIM data is exchanged in native and open BIM
file formats
 QA/QC procedures and model validations are
done prior to IFC file export and its
consistency validated with BIM validation tools
 Extracted BIM data compliancy is being
verified, with additional analyses if needed

 All BIM models exported into open BIM IFC files and
shared with all stakeholders
 Proposed structural design options were analysed and
validated in BIM
 Using open BIM formats allows for clients to be easily
included in the process
 Some criteria: feasibility, easiness and speed of
execution, cost, local regulations
 After reviews and analyses, approved design option was
almost 47% lighter in terms of concrete quantities
 Additional BIM design review used on the project –
evaluation of specific design criteria
 Developed BIM model was frequently used as a virtual
mock-up because of high level of detail.

and over 18,000 minor
 All clash detection report were
exchanged with stakeholders using BCF

 Quality assurance was used to minimize
mistakes and avoid problems during the
construction phase
 Clash detection was used in places in BIM model
where there was possibility of clashes due to
possible documentation omissions.
 All building elements on site were analyzed by
using BIM model
 All elements data was collected and stored inside
BIM model and used for on-site construction
check
 Analysis showed that some of the elements were
not built according to project documentation
 About 120 (from over 500 overall) openings in
were added in project documentation and more
than 400 instalation system clashes were
avoided
 All potential conflicts were resolved before they
could harm construction and cause additional
costs to client

 BIM Commissioning for transparent quality control based on
checklists and test, with attached documentation, to ensure
that building is ready for operation
 At the end of the process, a complete asset
list, component registers, links to
procedures, operation manuals etc. delivered
to client in IFC format with respective COBie
sheets.

  • 13.  Quality assurance was used to minimize mistakes and avoid problems during the construction phase  Clash detection was used in places in BIM model where there was possibility of clashes due to possible documentation omissions.  All building elements on site were analyzed by using BIM model  All elements data was collected and stored inside BIM model and used for on-site construction check  Analysis showed that some of the elements were not built according to project documentation  About 120 (from over 500 overall) openings in were added in project documentation and more than 400 instalation system clashes were avoided  All potential conflicts were resolved before they could harm construction and cause additional costs to client SENSATORI & NICKELODEON HOTELS AND RESORTS PUNTA CANA QA/QC CONSISTENCY CONTROL
