The Central Idea:
Actions can support or deny access to rights and
opportunities.
You have the right to choose your own friends and join
or set up groups, as long as it isn’t harmful to others.
Article 15
• Its wrong to force someone to be your friend or force your
friends to be friends.
You have the right to play and rest
Article 31
• Children should have fun and have a rest after a long day.
You have the right to a name, and this should be officially
recognized by the government.You have the right to a
nationality (to belong to a country).
Article 7
• Every single child needs to have a name or belong to a place.
PROVINGTHE CENTRAL IDEA
• To prove the central idea here are some examples of how
actions can support or deny rights and opportunities.
• 1. Iqbal - Iqbal was a boy who’s rights were denied because he
didn’t have a lot of opportunities. His circumstance was not
having a lot of money so that lead him into child labor.When
he was in the carpet factory he escaped and found some one
who would shut down the carpet factory. His action that he
took supported many children's rights.

• 2. Megan Meier - Megan Meier was a girl had been cyber-
bullied.The action that she took (she committed suicide)
denied her rights and opportunities that were coming (her
birthday was 3 weeks later).
• Unicef - Unicef took action to help kids all around the world
that are in poverty. By this they supported many children's
rights especially the one to be alive because without Unicef
they might of died of starvation.
