2. Facebook friends... www.facebook.com I put up a photo of my newspaper front page and asked if people would give their opinions. This was a good way of getting people of all ages to participate and give their opinions as it allowed them to give me their views on what they thought about the newspaper. The first time I put up my front cover I got comments on how bright the blue was on the master head and how it hurt their eyes. To make it easier and more appealing to the target audience I changed the colour to a darker blue. This is so that it was not hurting their eyes.
3. Other comments I got were to do with the pictures and what they thought were interesting. For my photo on the front page I put the top five I liked on Facebook and asked which was the favourite and why. The results were all different as some people like the simple ones with just snow and a tree as it looked naturalistic and different to every day life as they were no people in the shot. However some other people preferred it when there was people in the shot as it gave off a friendliness in the photo.
4. Class... In class I asked some of them to pick a photo of a church for the second page. There were five of the churches that I liked and I gave the class the opportunity to pick the favourite out of the five. This helped as it told me which one’s were not favourite’s of the group and what reasons for it. As they were all of the same age as me it gave a different opinion on my work from the same age group.
5. Family... As most of my family are of different ages it gave me a chance to hear the different problems they have with my newspaper in order for it to be improved for them.By saying which parts in the newspaper they liked and disliked it gave me a rough idea on what I needed to improve on and what didn’t work within the newspaper.
6. With Lecturer Feedback from the lecturer was very helpful as it gave me more ideas to adapt and change things to make them even better. Also it helped me notice things that were incorrect on the pages as I may have over looked them as I have been looking at it for too long. The ideas given to me by the lecturers gave me inspiration to make my newspaper and web page better and to adapt and change their ideas to make it what I wanted it to look like.
7. Overall opinion Overall I think that audience feedback is important as different people notice different things. Also by letting someone else take a look at the front page and seeing it for the first time it makes it easier to see it as a paying reader would. Plus the other people might give new ideas on what could improve it and make it better for everyone else. Such as the title might be moved or a caption might be added to make it more interesting. Another thing that could be changed is the colour in which the audience is reading it in. This could be because the colour is too harsh or bright and some people cannot read such small writing.
