Concept: on the subject of ‘Freedom’.
Women artists may try to explore, define, describe, or idealize the concept of freedom from a feminine
point of view. They may make a very general interpretation of what it means to be ‘free’. Or they may
zone in on particular types of freedom such as but not limited to:
Freedom of choice
Political Freedom
Artistic Freedom
Religious Freedom
Freedom in Relationships
Etc.
Criteria:
A) 2D Works (20 slots)
- Minimum size: 1.5’x2’ Maximum Size: 2’x3’
B) 3D Works (10 slots)
- Max height of 3’ and length of 2’
C) Installation (2 slots)
- Floor area of 4’x4’
D) Video or Animation (3 slots)
- Max length of 45 min.
E) Performances
- May be in the form of poetry, song or performance art
Guidelines:
1. Women artists may submit both old and new works as long as they fit the theme and criteria.
2. For 2D and 3D works, artists must submit pictures of their works and information sheet on or
before March 13. Complete works are preferred, but pictures of incomplete works may also be
submitted but will be considered second priority. Submit works to Ms. Tara Natividad

3. Diptychs and Triptychs are allowed provided that the total space of the whole work does not
exceed 4’x4’.
4. For Installation, artist must submit proposals or studies by March 1.
5. Artists may submit as many studies and proposals but a maximum of only two works per artist
will be accommodated, but there is no guarantee that this number will be maximized.
