Edmund O’ Sullivan, Chairman, MEED Events
Edmund O’Sullivan is Chairman of MEED Events. A writer, broadcaster and expert about
Middle East political and economic affairs, O’Sullivan is a graduate from the London
School of Economics in monetary economics. He was made Editor in 1985, Editor-in-Chief
in 1988 and has been a director of MEED since 1989. After seven years as MEED’s
Publishing Director, O’Sullivan moved to Dubai in September 2003. In his capacity as
Chairman of MEED Events, he moderates MEED’s conferences.
Ed James, Head, MEED Insight
Ed James has been with MEED for eight years. Until September 2008 he was MEED’s Gulf
Bureau Chief. He wrote features and news for MEED magazine on nearly all of the
countries of the region. His specific areas of expertise are hydrocarbons, power and water,
and the petrochemical market. He has also worked as a consultant in the Gulf for UK risk
consultancy firm Control Risks. He is a regular guest commentator on Middle East issues
for news channels such as the BBC, CNN and ABC News and is a regular speaker at events
in the region.
Jennifer M. Aguinaldo, Senior Analyst, MEED Insight
Jennifer Aguinaldo possesses over ten years of experience as an IT and business journalist,
researcher and analyst in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. She has managed and
executed research on ICT, oil and gas, education, healthcare and services sectors since
joining MEED Insight in April 2010. She has also contributed articles to MEED magazine.
Jennifer has degrees in education and business.
Angus Hindley, Research Editor, MEED Insight
Angus Hindley has worked for MEED for more than 20 years. In this time, he has spent
nine years in Dubai as Gulf editor and travelled extensively across the region, reporting on a
wide range of sectors including construction, oil and gas, petrochemicals, industry and
tourism. Since April 2007, he has worked as MEED research editor, providing bespoke and
off-the-shelf reports for a wide cross section of both public and private clients.
Colin Foreman, News Editor, MEED
Mathew Martin, Banking & Finance Editor, MEED
Matthew is MEED’s Banking & Finance Editor responsible for coverage of the finance
industry across the Middle East region. In addition to the financial sector, Matthew also
specialises in the economy of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Matthew joined MEED’s London-
based editorial team in early 2007 and relocated to Dubai later that year. Prior to MEED he
was at the newswire AFX, where he covered UK economics, and before that he covered the
foreign exchange markets at FX Week. He has also spent time writing for the UK finance
community at Finance Week.
