THE MYSQL ADMINISTRATOR Mysql administrator is a program for performing various adminitrative tasks such as monitering, starting and stopping mysql server and to perform backups and maintain various user connections. Once the mysqladminitrator starts it opens up a connection dialog. Specify the mysql server and all the other details. To save click on “+” and enter the name of the connection and click “OK”

19. On the target database screen choose mysql server. After selecting the source and target database servers choose the schema you want to migrate. Once the reverse engineering process is completed, choose the number of objects(tables and views) to migrate. On the object mapping screen, choose migration method as generic. Once the meta migration is successful, on manual editing screen select the object and click on details button to edit sql statements.

20. Choose one of the object creation options. Once object creation is completed successfully. on data mapping options screen, you have options either to directly migrate the data on target or create a script file. Data will be converted into MYSQL compatible format and migrated to target file successfully. Summary screen shows the entire migration summary. Save the migration.
