2.  Overall Goals
◦ To provide a good Christmas for Isaac and his sister
Ivy
◦ Raise awareness of pediatric cancer

3.  Isaac is a 6 year old boy who is battling
childhood brain cancer
 He is a cousin to one of our teammates Tyler
 Isaac and his sister Ivy deserve a good
Christmas but with high medical bills their
family may not be able to provide this

4.  Focus
◦ Childhood cancer is something that everyone is
emotionally connected to
 Grab Attention
◦ With the use of our Facebook page and pictures we were
able to really connect our audience to our cause
 Engage
◦ Planning to raise money through our bake sale and
donations from Facebook followers
 Enable Others
◦ People can donate money and spread the word by
inviting friends on Facebook

5.  We created a Facebook page to introduce our
audience to our cause
 People were then directed to Isaac’s Caring
Bridge site to learn more about him and his
family
 We used Twitter to direct people to the
Facebook page
 We made flyers for the bake sale to be passed
out and posted around campus
 We have uploaded this Power Point to
www.slideshare.net

7.  We have already raised $265
 Our Facebook page has 52 likes and 12
people talking about it
 We haven’t had our bake sale yet but are
anticipating raising more money
 We have created an increased awareness of
childhood cancer

8.  • Continued, unexplained weight loss
 • Headaches, often with early morning vomiting
 • Increased swelling or persistent pain in bones, joints,
back, or legs
 • Lump or mass, especially in the abdomen, neck, chest,
pelvis, or armpits
 • Development of excessive bruising, bleeding or rash
 • Constant infections
 • A whitish color behind the pupil
 • Nausea which persists or vomiting without nausea
 • Constant tiredness or noticeable paleness
 • Eye or vision changes which occur suddenly and
persist
 • Recurrent or persistent fevers of unknown origin
