The Valley Youth Orchestra 
Music Coordinator from the James Brown Biopic “Get on Up” and the (nephew of the God Father of Soul 
James Brown) Darren Glenn is looking for young musicians from the San Fernando Valley area to make 
up a youth orchestra. 
This program allow students to work and play alongside gifted professional faculty, perform in 
professional concert venues and work with world class music industry professional. 
Young musicians from the San Fernando Valley area comes together to learn, rehearse, and perform all-time 
classics. 
The Valley Youth Orchestra gives students an opportunity to study the music that help shape the world. 
The Valley Youth Orchestra is a diverse group of young musicians from over 50 High and middle schools 
in the San Fernando Valley areas. 
Requirement and Audition: 
To become a young musician in the Valley Youth Orchestra students must have two or more years of 
instrumental experience. 
Students must attend a middle or high school in the San Fernando Valley area. 
Students must be between the ages 8 to 18. 
Students must continue their music study while in the orchestra. 
The Valley Youth Orchestra hold audition for young musician year round. We audition player of all 
instruments. 
Audition Schedule 
There is a $25.00 audition fee due before your audition. The audition fee is returned if we have no seat. 
The fee audition fee will credited toward students admitted into the program.

Rehearsal Location (TBD) 
The Valley Youth Orchestra Year 
Our program runs from November through May and divided into two semester, students will only 
audition once. Students can join winter, spring or mid-year for winter/spring semester as opening 
permit. 
Rehearsals 
Rehearsals will take place on Sunday afternoons from 1:00pm to 5:30pm (except on holidays). 
Students can only have two excused rehearsals in a single semester. 
Performances 
Students will have performances throughout the year. 
Tuition for 2014-2015 (program is 25 weeks) 
Season Tuition (winter/spring) $475.00, payable in full 
Semester Tuition (winter/spring) $237.50, payable in full 
Monthly Tuition (7 month) $68.00, payable in full 
Weekly Tuition (25 weeks) $19.00, payable in full
