This presentation shows how to export a blog to another using the wordpress (edublogs) platform. It has been set up to show globalstudent bloggers how to export to global2, the new platform. However, the process would be similar in other blogging platforms.

1. How to export a blog!Using wordpress/edublogs

2. Commence your new blog Register for new blog Key in a username and password Add a blog title Goto your resultant email and activate the blog Login to the new blog with your given password GotoUsers >Your Profile>scroll down and change password immediately. Keep the dashboard open

3. Key in the url of your old blog Login to your existing blog GotoTools Click on tools Choose export

4. Choose all authors 1. Choose all authors 2. Choose Download Export File

5. Choose where to save wordpress file and save (Default save is in Downloads) Saved wordpress file

6. Gotonew blog dashboard Goto tools>import.

7. 1. Choose file 2. Locate saved wordpress file

8. Choose the wordpress option

9. 1. Choose File 2. Upload and import Upload may take 5 mins or more depending on blog size and bandwidth

10. Remap users to new blog(only for multiple administrators)

11. Importing files When complete, you will see All done. Have fun!
