with specially designed curriculum

Merits of inclusive education
1. Children learn important academic skill
2. Children develop a positive understanding of
themselves and others
3. Develop friendship
4. All children learn by being together (share
feeling, learn new skill)
5. Every one is granted an equal education
6. Help the disabled children develop socially
De merits of inclusive education
1. The disabled children can be disruptive
2. There is a problem with bullying
3. The teacher tend to be impatient towards the
disabled child
4. The teacher might talk over the disabled
child’s head thus learning the child bored
5. The teacher has to slow down to teach the
disabled child thus creating boredom among
the students.
Practicing inclusive education
1. Most coast effective
2. Teacher effective in including all
children in learning process
3. Equal opportunities for participation
4. Child centered
5. Least restrictive
6. Child remains as natural self
7. Rights, realize and actualize

How to break
barriers?
1. Changing social attitude and concept through
awareness classes, visiting special schools etc
2. Avoiding unnecessary and irritating sympathy
3. Provide counseling to the ;parents
4. Changing the attitude of parents of normal
children
5. Avoid negative conversation between the parents

Inclusive education

  • 2. What is inclusive education? Inclusive education is the system in which differently abled children are provided formal education together and together with normal children
  • 3. What is the difference between the inclusive education and special education? Special education is the system in which differently abled children are provided formal education is specially established institution with specially designed curriculum Inclusive education is the system in which differently abled children are provided formal education together and together with normal children
  • 4. Merits of inclusive education 1. Children learn important academic skill 2. Children develop a positive understanding of themselves and others 3. Develop friendship 4. All children learn by being together (share feeling, learn new skill) 5. Every one is granted an equal education 6. Help the disabled children develop socially
  • 5. De merits of inclusive education 1. The disabled children can be disruptive 2. There is a problem with bullying 3. The teacher tend to be impatient towards the disabled child 4. The teacher might talk over the disabled child’s head thus learning the child bored 5. The teacher has to slow down to teach the disabled child thus creating boredom among the students.
  • 6. Practicing inclusive education 1. Most coast effective 2. Teacher effective in including all children in learning process 3. Equal opportunities for participation 4. Child centered 5. Least restrictive 6. Child remains as natural self 7. Rights, realize and actualize
  • 7. Barriers of inclusion 1.Social barrier 2.Economic barrier 3.Psychological barrier 4.Physical barrier
  • 8. Social barrier ● Ridiculing attitude of people ● Un necessary sympathy and empathy ● Over protective nature of the parents ●Protest from the parents of normal children
  • 9. ECONOMIC BARRIER ● poor financial background of the family ● expensive nature of special; instrument ● High maintenance charge of such instruments
  • 10. Psychological barrier ● Selective unconscious of such people ● Individual unconsciousness of such an individual ●transactional theory and life concept
  • 11. Physical barrier ● Transportation limitation ●Limitation to go upstairs ● Limitation to go toilet ●Limitation to participate sports and games
  • 12. How to break barriers? 1. Changing social attitude and concept through awareness classes, visiting special schools etc 2. Avoiding unnecessary and irritating sympathy 3. Provide counseling to the ;parents 4. Changing the attitude of parents of normal children 5. Avoid negative conversation between the parents
