3. The Persian gulf, since the 1960s
controversially referred to as the Arabian Gulf
or The Gulf by some Arab countries
The Sinus Arabicus, a historical name for the
Red Sea, in literary works from ancient times
to the 19th Century
The Arab Gulf (Arabic Khalij el-Arab), a large
bay near Alexandria, Egypt, also known as
the Arabs Gulf, Arabs' Gulf, or Arab's Gulf
4. BAY:-A bay is a large body of water.
OCEAN:-A vast body of water on the surface
of the globe , which surrounds the land.
LATITUDES:-The imaginary lines running
horizontally on the globe which surrounds the
globe.
LONGITUDES:-The imaginary lines running
vertically on the globe.
GULF:-A gulf is an arm of a sea or ocean partly
enclosed by land
5. The observed climate changes over the past century in the
Arabian Gulf area include (a) an increase in temperature of
0.65°C, (b) warming in summer and little or no warming in
winter, (c) no warming in the first 60 years of record but
accelerated warming in the most recent 40 years, and (d) a
small decline in precipitation. In many cases, the results are
unlike those found in the analysis of Northern Hemispheric
and/or global climate records. However, many of these
observed climate changes in the Arabian Gulf area are
broadly consistent with 2×CO2 predictions from various
numerical climate models. We hope that the analyses
presented in this investigation will aid decision makers in
their difficult policymaking activities
