Quinnipiac bobcats Top Athletes in 2000s
DeMarioAnderson Class of 2008 Anderson signed to play overseas basketball in Belgium for Spotter Leuven. In 2008-2009, he averaged 12.6 points per game in 34 games. In 2009-2010, he averaged 11.2 points per game in 30 games as a member of the Passe-Partout Leuven Bears. He is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree at Quinnipiac University.
GracianoBrito Class of 2008 Brito became an assistant coach at Quinnipiac University in 2009 after being showcased at the 2009 Major League Soccer Combine. In 2010, he signed with the Operario dos Acores of the Portuguese Second Division. Then on February 21, 2011, he became the first player to sign a contract with the United Soccer League expansion team F.C. New York. Brito was a two-time All-American while at Quinnipiac.
Freddy Hall Class of 2009   Hall was listed by ESPN Soccernet as one of the top 10 goalie prospects for 2010. The St. George, Bermuda native led the nation in total saves and save percentage during the 2009 season. He also led the Bobcats to consecutive NEC Tournament appearances, a first for the school’s program. He is currently playing for Bermuda’s national team.
Chris Gloor Class of 2009   Gloor was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 17th round of the 2009 MLB First-Year Player Draft. After just over two seasons of professional baseball, he has appeared in 62 games compiling 126 strikeouts, 47 walks and a 2.58 earned run average over 118.2 innings. This season, he is serving as a relief pitcher in Advanced Class A with the San Jose Giants.
Tiffany Manzi Class of 2009 Manzi won the Northeast Conference Player of the Year in 2008 as a junior. She scored 37 goals and totaled 49 points during the team’s 16 games that season. She also scored five goals and recorded two assists during the NEC Tournament that year.
Randy Gress Class of 2007 Gress was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 18th of the 2007 MLB First-Year Player Draft. After four seasons of professional baseball, he hit .208/10/74 total at four different levels on minor league reaching as high as Double-A. His most recent team was with the Newark Bears of the Independent Atlantic League.
