What do you think new methods of advertising is going to be?
CURRENT
New methods? Music video’s will incorporate more brands/ products which the artist is endorsing. TV hit shows will try & frequently advertise one main product. E.g. Glee (sue always wear Adidas) & 90210 makes Miami appealing Billboards will continue to advertise as it spreads to the masses for a period of time for a one off payment Marketing agency will infiltrate people’s everyday life: Facebook, Chatrooms etc. Viral campaigns!! Companies will try to create shocking/ funny adverts that spark conversation amongst the masses & make their brand more recognised e.g. t- mobile viral
Stealth marketing (undercover marketing): this is an act which the consumers are lead to believe is true and therefore follow suit e.g. Goodkind’s sneeze marketing agency hired actors to read poems aloud to crowded commuter trains pretending to be bored office workers who had been spontaneously inspired by commercials for a well-known life insurance company. Sneeze will not stealth-market cigarettes, or target children Buzz Marketing: a viral marketingtechnique that attempts to make each encounter with a consumer appear to be a unique & spontaneous creating a buzz around a product so that consumers will want to have the ‘coolest’ thing going! Embarrassment:Pontiac giveaway of September 2004 on the Oprah Winfrey show , they distributed a free car to every member of the all female (special selected) studio audience. It certainly created a buzz everyone wanted it, but it also created an unexpected $7,000 income tax bill per car.
