One thing that Agile Software Development manifesto promises and values more is 'Responding to change over following a plan'. Achieving this value by properly handling variations within the problem domain is one of the biggest challenges. In these slides I will share some techniques from Emergent Design that I use when dealing with changes.

Topic: UI/UX DESIGN IN AGILE PROCESS Why do we integrate design into our Agile process? As we all know, the Agile Manifesto is well-received and successfully adopted as it is today thanks to the 12 underpinning principles. While “good design” is one main reason that “enhances agility”, “Agile processes promote sustainable development”. At Axon Active, it’s important for us to do everything Agile and work with one another collaboratively in Collaboration Model. It gets people on the same page, makes everyone engage more with the product, encourages them to share more creative ideas, and gives them the flexibility they need to improve themselves. Indeed, Designers and Developers can collaborate more closely and effectively, and subsequently integrating design into Agile process will yield numerous benefits. For that reason, Scrum Breakfast Da Nang this October will be the very chance for you to learn: • How to successfully integrate design into Agile process in practice • How different Collaboration Model is from traditional model • The benefits of Collaboration Model when done correctly

Engineering design Engineering design is the process where by one devises a system, module, or process to meet desired requirements. Engineering design involves the use of basic science and mathematics and engineering sciences among others for the new things. Engineering design has great importance in the history of industry. For good engineering design to occur there need to be understanding between the client and the designer. There is the designer user triangle which consists of clients, the user of designed device and the designer. This triangle helps us to know that the three participants might differ in their interests and these results in monetary problems when the client demands are not accomplished. There are different devices which have been made in the past and are very important for they are used up to date. There are detailed and conceptual forms of designs. The devices like airplane have been made to ferry goods and humans in air and wheelchairs for carrying the disabled among other devices. There are vital vocabularies which need to be defined in engineering design. The terminologies are; design, Engineering design, form, function, means, objective and constraints which makes the understanding of engineering design better understood. There are various assumptions which have been made in the definition of engineering design, with form and function mostly being used. The designer has some questioning process which derives certain benchmarks during engineering design. The questioning process has the; clients objectives, metrics to be used, the function of what will be designed and establishing the requirements of what’s needed. Engineering designs faces some challenges which are ill regulated and open ended. In the real sense, for one to have the best design he or she needs to learn it better. Exercise and paying close attention is the main driving force which makes designers makes perfection in their work. In early days, for engineering design to occur when had to think of it and how it should be done. In conclusion, during the evolution of the engineering design, one had to make the drawings first of what he or she needed to make, one could have blue prints or flow chart as it was the case in Kansas City. Designs for manufacturing and concurrent engineering are very important in the engineering designing. For excellent designs to be made, one needs to be excellent in their management. Product design For businesses to remain active and having market, it needs to design new products every time to attract and maintain customers. There are some companies which have been involved in the product designing of various things. The likes of companies like; The Ford Motor Company, the Raychem Corporation, the Microsoft Corporation and the Xerox corporation among others. During the product design, there are some of the product development task which needs to ...

Heather Hedden, Senior Consultant at Enterprise Knowledge, presented “Enterprise Knowledge Graphs: The Importance of Semantics” on May 9, 2024, at the annual Data Summit in Boston. In her presentation, Hedden describes the components of an enterprise knowledge graph and provides further insight into the semantic layer – or knowledge model – component, which includes an ontology and controlled vocabularies, such as taxonomies, for controlled metadata. While data experts tend to focus on the graph database components (RDF triple store or a label property graph), Hedden emphasizes they should not overlook the importance of the semantic layer.

Join me in this session where I'll share our journey of building a fully serverless application that flawlessly managed check-ins for an event with a staggering 80 thousand registrations. We'll dive into three key strategies that made this possible. Firstly, by harnessing DynamoDB global tables, we ensured global service availability and data replication across regions, boosting performance and disaster recovery. Next, we'll explore how we seamlessly integrated real-time updates into the app using Appsync subscriptions, making the experience dynamic and engaging for users. Finally, I'll discuss how provisioned concurrency not only improved performance but also kept costs in check, highlighting the cost-effectiveness of serverless architectures. Through these strategies and the inherent scalability of serverless technology, our application effortlessly handled massive user loads without manual intervention. This session is a real world example to the power and efficiency of modern cloud-based solutions in enabling seamless scalability and robust performance with Serverless

Ruby has a lot of standard libraries from Ruby 1.8. I promote them democratically with GitHub today via default and bundled gems. So, I'm working to extract them for Ruby 3.4 continuously and future versions. It's long journey for me. After that, some versions may suddenly happen LoadError at require when running bundle exec or bin/rails, for example matrix or net-smtp. We need to learn what's difference default/bundled gems with standard libraries. In this presentation, I will introduce what's the difficult to extract bundled gems from default gems and the details of the functionality that Ruby's require and bundle exec with default/bundled gems. You can learn how handle your issue about standard libraries.

We’re going to tell you all about the Flutterwave Scandal in a way that’s easy to get. Keep reading, because we’re going to share the whole story with you. The company Flutterwave is headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States. In 2016, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Olugbenga Agboola, and Adeleke Adekoya established Flutterwave. It offers a payment infrastructure to international merchants and payment service providers throughout Africa. The company operates in various African countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, South Africa, and others. The Flutterwave scandal involves allegations of misconduct and inappropriate behaviour towards female employees by the company’s co-founder and CEO, Olugbenga Agboola. Reports have surfaced from both current and former employees about bullying, intimidation, and sexual harassment at work. The allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards female employees at Flutterwave, specifically involving the CEO Olugbenga Agboola, were brought to public attention in April 2022.This was when Clara Wanjiku Odero, an ex-employee and current CEO of Credrails, published a Medium post and a series of tweets on April 4, 2022, accusing Flutterwave and Agboola of bullying. These allegations were part of a broader range of misconduct claims that surfaced around the same time The reasons behind the scandal are rooted in accusations of unethical behavior within the company. The allegations suggest a workplace culture that allowed for misconduct and failed to protect employees from harassment and intimidation. Specifically, the Flutterwave scandal refers to the series of events where the CEO was accused of engaging in improper conduct with female colleagues. This led to a broader investigation into the company’s practices and raised serious concerns about the fintech’s corporate governance. The scandal had significant repercussions, including a drop in the company’s stock price and a loss of trust among customers and partners. The trust that customers and investors had in Flutterwave was greatly damaged. People started to doubt the company’s integrity and whether their money and personal information were safe. Market Impact The scandal shook the entire fintech market. Flutterwave’s competitors saw this as an opportunity and started to attract customers who were leaving Flutterwave.
