3. Gothic Art Facts Gothic Art was produced in Northern Europe from the middle ages up until the beginning of the Renaissance. Was especially known for the distinctive arched design of it’s churches, stained glass, and illuminated manuscripts. One of the most famous buildings in Gothic Art is Notre-Dame. Artists use the s-shaped lines in their artwork. In their architecture, they use triforium, or a series of arches. Artists also used a rectangular bay system to build the buildings.
