1 CREATING A QUIZ IN D2L
D2L arrives with basic Quiz creating tool. This tools offers a selection of question types to be included in
assessments.

1.3 CREATE A QUIZ CATEGORY
1. Open your Sandbox Course on D2L
2. Click on the ASSESSMENTS drop-down arrow
3. From this menu, choose Quizzes
4. The Manage Quizzes page appears
5. Click on the Edit Categories button
6. Click on the Add Category button
7. Input Popular Culture in the category Name field.
8. Click on the Save and Close button
9. The Manage Quizzes page reappears
1.4 CREATE A NEW QUIZ
1. On the Manage Quizzes page, click on the New Quiz button.
2. The New Quiz page appears
3. Input Popular Canadian Culture in the Name field
1.5 LINK THE CATEGORY TO THE QUIZ
1. In the Category drop-down, select Popular Culture
2. Click on the Save button. (not the Save and Close button)

1.7 CREATE A TRUE/FALSE QUESTION
1. Click on the Add/Edit Questions button.
2. Click on the New button.
3. From the drop-down men choose the True or False Question (T/F) link
4. The New True or False Question page appears.
5. In the Title field input, Canadaculture 001.
6. Insert the text below into the Question Text field

7. Scroll down the screen until, the True option appears.
8. In the True field, input 100 to represent the weight of this correct answer.

2. From the drop-down men choose the Multiple Choice Question (MC) link
3. The New Multiple Choice Question page appears.
4. In the Title field input, Canadaculture 002.
5. Input 1 into the Points field.
6. Insert the text below into the Question Text field

1. Click on the New button.
2. From the drop-down men choose the Multi-Select Question (M-S) option
3. The Multi-Select Question page appears.
4. In the Title field input, Canadaculture 003.

1.10 SET QUIZ RESTRICTIONS
1. On the Edit Quiz page, click on the Restrictions tab.
2. Set the Status to Active.
3. There are several options to choose here. Use these as they serve your course goals.
4. Click on the Save and Close button.
1.11 PREVIEW THE QUIZ
1. On the Manage Quizzes page, click on the Preview option.
2. Click Start Quiz!
3. Click OK
4. Take the quiz
5. Click on Save All Responses
6. Click on the Go to Submit Quiz button
7. Click on Submit Quiz
8. Click on Yes, Submit quiz
9. View your score (at the right side of the screen - number/5)
10. Click on the Close button.
11. Click the Exit Preview button.
