2. INTRODUCTION :
 In HY-WIRE , HY stands for hydrogen.
 Instead of hydraulic linkage and engine it contain a
fuel cell.
 The autonomy is a car which combines a hydrogen
fuel cell with drive by wire technology.

3. DESIGN :
 In the HY WIRE, the conventional car layout has been
revamped.
 The skateboard itself contains crumple zones.

4. X-DRIVE:
 The X-Drive
contains two
electronic
monitors.
 The driver
accelerate with
either the right or
left hand.

5. DRIVERS INTERFACE :
 Instead of mirrors
multiple LCD
displays are used.

6. HY-WIRE BASICS:
 Instead of engine, it has a fuel cell stack,which powers an
electric motor connected to the wheels.
 Instead of mechanical and hydraulic linkages, it has drive by
wire system.

7. FUEL-CELL STACK:
 The hydrogen fuel is stored in three cylindrical tanks.
 The tanks are made of a special carbon composite
material.

8. POWER :
 Fuel cells structure is similar to the battery.
 But continually recharge a fuel cell by adding hydrogen fuel.

11. CONTROL :
 The HY-WIRE’s “brain” is a central computer housed in the
middle of the chassis.

12. SPECIFICATON :
 TOP SPEED: 100 miles per hour (161 kph).
 FUEL-CELL POWER: 94 kwts continuous , 129 kwts
peak.
 FUEL-CELL-STACK VOLTAGE: 125-200 volts.

14. ADVANTAGES :
 The problem with fuel consumption and pollution can be
minimized.
 High flexibility.
 High stability.
 High spacious.

15. FUTURE OF HY-WIRE:
 Fuel cell offer a promissing alternative.
 They need to be compelling,affordable,and profitable.
 The main challenge I in the field of storage of hydrogen.

16. CONCLUSION :
 The HY-WIRE concept has so profoundly brought about
change in automobile industry.
 GM and other auto makers are planning to launch such a
vehicle for public usage by the year 2020.
