The purpose of the Motivating Change Workshop was to understand how current research findings in behaviour change can be turned into practical intelligence for policy makers and the end user. Using what was heard in the initial presentations, the workshop explored ideas for putting the theory into action. In particular, it sought to address the question of “how can we design policies, programmes and interventions that will lead to improved uptake of smarter energy use”.
