This is Ronnie & Stephanie.
One of my favorite couples ever.
They‟re rockers, they‟re giving people, and they‟re hilarious fun to be around. They were
married, poor as church mice, seven years ago out of love and they never got glamorous
wedding photos.
So we went to play, today, in Alaskan summer to give them some pretty shots to
remember their love by.
Here‟s to Ronnie and Steph, only getting better and more beautiful with age!

Question by Matt: BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING PROBLEM / HOW TO GET
MONEY!?
Alright. So school starts on Tuesday and I didn‟t do ANY back to school shopping. Now
I‟m not like a lot of other people where their parents give them 100 dollars to spend
5. anywhere. I have to pay with money i make on my own. Except for jeans, which my mom
is paying for.
Anyway, I am into the band T-shirts and all and I normally shop at Hot Topic where
shirts are roughly $ 15.00 and I also shop at other places occasionly like Hollister. But
anyway, I need to know a few things:
1. Are there any other places such as Hot Topic where I can get band T-shirts but for less
prices? Or online stores?
2.Any online stores that are that kind of “rocker” style of clothes?
3. What are some good ways to get money from my parents? They normally give me $
5.00 jobs like picking weeds in the garden and stuff. But I need money fast!!!
Best answer:
Answer by Jenner Grace
I‟m not sure about #1&2 but I do know about #3
One easy way that I made money was selling my clotes to a place like plato‟s closet. They
gave me like really good offers and then I didn‟t have to wear clothes I didn‟t want and I
could make good money by selling them.
I promise u I‟m not some like paid advertiser or anything. I just found that was an easy
way to make money because like ur parents, my parents only gave me jobs in the yard like
mowing the grass and stuff.

Of course there aren‟t any natural flowers in the winter but there are lots of bouquets in

keep it neat, raked if you have loose rock, debris blown out… keep weeds out or pulled….

Question by Teresa: Why haven’t my green bean seeds popped up yet?
I planted some green beans in my garden about 1 week and 1/2 ago and nothing has come
up yet. I planted them about 1 1/2 to 2″ deep and just kind of sprinkled them in a row and
covered them up. Are they too close together? It has been a little cold here over the
nights. I live in Minnesota. But the days have been in the mid 70′s for the most part and
my garden gets lots of sunshine and it is watered every morning. Am I doing something
wrong? Should I try digging them up? Thanks!
Best answer:
Answer by juel2424
As long as the garden has gotten water/rain, sprouts should be up any day now. Give
them a few more days before you sneak a peak.

row-cover-lesson

row-cover-lesson

Question by tlc289: One end of garden growing larger plants:?
I have rows of corn, potatoes, squash and tomatoes, all of which are growing. However, at
one end of my garden – the area that once was a burning pile – the vegetable plants here
are a good 4-5 inches taller than the rest of my plants. This small area represents about
5% of my whole garden (so the majority of plants, although growing, aren‟t as healthy as
this small area).
11. I recently put 0-0-46 (high nitrogen or urea) 3-4 inches beside everything at 3 inches
deep and covered it up. This was what my pop said to do. Now he‟s thinking that I need to
add a balanced fertilizer to the whole garden. I also, per my pop‟s instruction, pulled
about 3-4 inches of soil around the base of each plant. ** This is my first garden, by the
way. Having said this, my pop said it could take 2-3 years to get the soil right **
The soil has remained relatively normal. It‟s not soggy or too dry. It also gets a lot of
sunlight.
Is it true it could take 2-3 years of planting to get the soil ph where it needs to be? It‟s a
bit late to till now, lest I tear up or expose the root systems on most of the plants (the
rows are adequate/wide enough to till, which I‟ve done 3 times already).
Any gardening tips would be greatly appreciated.
Best answer:
Answer by bill j
It was once a burning pile. The ashes from the fire have leached into the ground in that
area of your garden and are providing more nutrients to that area. If you have a fireplace,
wood burning stove, or Bar B Q grill that you burn wood in take the wood ashes and
spread them over the rest of your garden. Spread it out thinly. A little goes a long way and
too much in one spot will kill your plants. NO NOT use ashes from coal or charcoal
briquettes. This will damage your plants.
Another thing. If one end of your garden is lower than the other then water will seep
towards the downhill end and carry nutrients with it. This provides the lower end of your
garden with more water and nutrients than the higher end.
Here is a tip on planting tomato plants. Plant them deep. The soil should come all the way
to just below the bottom leaves. The part of the stem you bury in the ground will sprout
roots. A bigger root system will provide more water and nutrients to the plant.
Avoid over tilling your garden. Tilling brings the moist soil to the surface where the sun
dries it out. This deprives your plants of water.
Most plants will grow in a range of PH. I wouldn‟t worry unless your soil is wildly out of
PH balance.

Don‟t put your red wine in the shed. It‟s needs to be kept at about room temperature.
White wine needs to be refrigerated but not frozen. So, if it gets freezing outside bring the

Image by +++CoolValley+++
My next door neighbor‟s moved in last year and they stained 2 of the 3 sides of their
unfinished wooden fence with some nasty looking stuff that resembles Baby-Poop brown
paint. It‟s horrible. fortunately I don‟t see it unless I walk or drive by.
For some reason they left the side that faces my house bare.
I went and asked their permission to stain it however I wanted it and I wanted it to match
my front deck.
So…they agreed and I asked if maybe they could chip in on the cost. We‟ll see about that
later.
I used 3 gallons of Olympic Maximum Cedartone Toner @ a gallon.
It took about an hour or so and I used a cheap garden sprayer to do it.
Hopefully it will look as good as it does now in a month.
If you have any outdoor staining to do, buy what you want and also buy the cheapest
garden sprayer they have instead of the way overpriced sprayers that they have in the
outdoor stain aisle.
I paid for the sprayer I used and threw it away when I was done.
Lowe‟s who carry the Olympic brand had sprayers in the stain aisle priced at . That‟s

genie Image by davedehetre trying some new brush techniques. used an AF lens, and it seemed to be in
focus, but it wasn‟t. I prefer manual focus. anyway: pretty interesting. a garden sprayer and a couple of
flashlights with the lenses painted with colored nail polish. shows potential, but I think I need brighter
lights [...]

Protective Collard Treatment Image by sillydog If you see me out with what looks like a chemical
sprayer, it‟s not. I‟m either applying fish emulsion as a foliar fertilizer or neem (the distilled leaves of an
Indian tree) to nip the aphids before they get to the bud. If you thought brassicas were loved by [...]

any of the details in this fine photograph. It took me a minute to realize the number 5 was the lot

Trillium and Bloodroot in bloom at Morning Sky Greenery
This is my first batch of 2009 photos from Morning Sky Greenery. Sally called to say that
the Trillium and Bloodroot were in bloom and wouldn‟t last long, so I ran out and spent
about an hour shooting in the early morning. I then went back that evening to try to catch
some outdoor shots, but some clouds had come in and the light was really flat. I did get a
lot of equipment shots in the second greenhouse, however, with an emphasis on empty
pots. I probably spent half an hour on those.
After removing the obviously broken photos, I‟ve divided them into two groups: The
"better" shots (in my opinion) (this set) and the rest.
Sally, et al, should go through these and identify photos that they like/think they can use.
Please also tell me when there are gaps or styles that you need and which are missing. I
tend to shoot a very particular way when left to my own devices (lots of close-ups, for
example), and if you need something else definitely speak up!
I‟ve spent most of two hours moving today‟s photos to the computer, filtering out the
obviously broken shots, and uploading the rest to Flickr for Sally to look at.
