3. What Is Life?
• Life: Life existence (Between Birth and
Death)
During life existence, every individual will face
2 irrefutable truths, which are happiness and
suffering, depending one’s own Karma.
And everybody fears danger, suffering and
death. Thus, one seeks only for happiness.

4. L1: To Live A Happy Life
First Happiness (Atthi-sukha)
Enjoy economic and sufficient wealth acquired
by just and righteous means,
Avoiding livelihood that is harmful to others, and
in particular the five evil professions (dealing in
weapons, human beings, animals to be
slaughtered, intoxicants and poisons).

5. L1: To Live A Happy Life (cont.)
Second Happiness(Bhoga Sukha)
 Spend that wealth liberally on himself, his family,
his friends and relatives, and on meritorious
deeds.
 i.e, building, hospital, school, temples, and/or
anything beneficial for the community.

Conclusion:
Money earned honestly, spent wisely and
invested in the service of human kind will
bring true happiness.

Third Happiness (Anana-Sukha)
To be free from debts: (gratitude and material,
social and spiritual debts.)
Fourth Happiness (Anavajja-Sukha)
Live the faultless and pure life (Sucarita)
without committing evil in action, word, and
thought (Kayasucarita, vacisucarita and
manosucarita).

8. Mano: State of Mind
• Manosucarita: Wholesome state of mind់
(i.e., thinking about helping others, compassion for
the sick and the poor).
• Manoducarita: Unwholesome state of mind,
leading towards unwholesome actions.
 These unwholesome states of mind are called the Five
Hindrances (or Nivaranadharma-obstacle to achieve any
goal).

9. Five Hindrances
(Obstacle to achieve any goal)
(1) Kamaccanda: Sensual desire: meaning lust for pleasurable
states (i.e., sights, sounds, smells, tastes, touches, or for
wealth, power, fame, and their accompanying pleasures).
(2) Phyabada: Ill will, meaning hatred, anger, resentment, and
repulsion.
(3) Thinamidha: Dullness, meaning mental inertia, and
accompanying by Drowsiness or mental sinking into
heaviness of mind.
(4) Udhaca: Restlessness/Laziness or Worry, state of agitation,
frenzy or stress which keep the mind from focus.
(5) Viccikicca: Doubt, meaning lacks of resolution and
indecisiveness which hinder right effort.

ធមជាគ្រឿងរារាាំងមិនឲ្យសគ្មចកុសលធម៌មាន៥យ៉ា ង៖
១.កាមចឆនចរឺចិត្តគ្ត្ក្ត្អាលកនុងកាមគរារ។
២.ព្យាបាទរឺចិត្តអា្កក សអបគ្ពើម និងកាំហឹងរុាំរួន។
៣.ថីនមិទធរឺភាព្យគ ោះអគងគើយ មិនយកចិត្តទុកដាក គោកងុយ។
៤. ឩទទចចរឺគសចកតីអណ្ណត ត្អណតូ ងរាយមាយ និងរគវើរវាយគ្មា នទិសគៅ។
៥.វិចិកិច្ឆឆ រឺភាព្យមនទិលសងស័យ គ្មា នជាំគនឿគលើអវីចាសលាស។

11. Living a Faultless Life Principle
In pursuing your goal in life, you must adopt the
following guidelines as your north star principle by asking
yourself the following question:
1. If my intended actions are legally right, (that is not
violating any law). If the answer is yes, then ask
yourself next question.
2. If my intended actions are morally rights, (that is not
harming anyone). If the answer is yes, then ask
yourself nest question.

3. If my intended actions are beneficial to me and other
people and ultimately humanity. If the answer is yes to
all questions, then go ahead and take your actions.
If the answer is no to anyone of the above
questions, you should reformulate your intended
actions and/or your goal.

13. L2: To Learn
• What is learning?
 is the process of developing merits, perfecting
virtues and wisdom.
• Sutamaya-panna: is the knowledge which is
born of learning through studying, reading,
listening.
• Cintamaya-panna: is the knowledge which is
born of reflection.

• Bhavanamaya-panna: is the knowledge
which is born of meditation.

15. L3: To Love
• Love is the sublime nobility of heart and
intellect which knows, understand, and be
ready to help.
• Love is come out from your heart.
• You cannot complete your outside love
unless you practice or have done inner
love.

16. L4: To Leave This World With a Legacy
• The true purpose of this precious is not
simply to achieve happiness for ourselves.
• But to alleviate the suffering of all other
beings and bring them happiness
rendering service to humanity.
* True Happiness blossoms from within.
