This document discusses air pollution, its causes, types, and effects. It defines air pollution as the atmosphere containing too much carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and sulfur. The main causes are the use of cheap fuels, exhaust gases from vehicles, location of cities, improper use of heating systems, and weather conditions. The types of air pollution are those caused by heat, vehicles, and industry. Air pollution negatively impacts human health and is linked to heart disease, respiratory illness, and cancer. Solutions proposed include installing filters on industrial chimneys and regulating the location of factories.
2. WHAT IS AIR POLLUTION
Air Pollution effects the lifes of animals in a bad way
The air contains toxic substances above the normal
amount. Air pollution is the atmosphere containing
too much carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and sulfur
causing pollution.
3.
4. CAUSES OF AIR POLLUTION
1. Use of cheap fuel
2. Exhaust gases
3. The location of cities
4. Using heat systems wrongly
5. And bad weather conditions
5.
6. TYPES OF AIR POLLUTION
Air pollution can be seperated into 3 parts;
1. Air pollution that is caused by heat.
The common use of low-energy and high-curd coals and poor burning
techniques that lead to air pollution.
2. Air Pollution caused by vehicles
Due to the population growth and the increase of income rate and the
increase of vehicles releasing exhaust gas is an important factor of air
pollution. To stop this from happening we must check our exhaust filters
from time to time.
3. Air pollution caused by the Industry
Choosing the wrong place in the establishment of industrial facilities, not
taking the necessary measures to protect the environment, not using
appropriate technologies, using unqualified and high sulfur fuels in energy
generating combustion units are among the factors that cause air
pollution.

8. Effects of Air Pollution on Human
Health
Since the 1950s, there has been evidence of the effects
of air pollution on human health. In the late 1980s and
1990s, new epidemiological studies showed the effects
of air pollution on health. These studies were first
carried out in the USA and European countries, and
then it was observed that health was affected by
similar studies in many countries.
10. The solution for pollution
It should be ensured that filters are installed in the
chimneys of industrial factories, and the location
selection of industrial establishments should be made
regularly.
13. Air Pollution Kills People!
According to the World Health Organization, seven
million people died in 2012 from air pollution-related
causes. The findings suggest a link between air pollution
and heart disease, respiratory problems and cancer. The
World Health Organization (WHO) has said that one in
eight deaths globally is linked to air pollution, air
pollution is the world's biggest environmental health
risk. About six million of the deaths occurred in South
East Asia and the Western Pacific region

15. Air Pollution Kills People!
The WHO said that in low- and middle-income
countries in these regions, about 3.3 million people die
as a result of indoor air pollution, and 2.6 million
people die as a result of outdoor air pollution.
16. What the World Health
Organization said?
"Cleaning the air we breathe reduces the
risks of diseases among vulnerable groups,
including women, children and the elderly,"
said Dr Flavia

18. Alarm in Paris!
Air pollution has imposed restrictions on drivers living
in Paris, the capital of France, from using their cars
every day. As of today, drivers from PARIS will be able
to use their vehicles in traffic every other
day.(17.03.2014)

20. Orange Alert in China!
World Health Organization (WHO) called on China to
improve its air quality and for Beijing residents to stay
indoors.

22. Affects Babies' IQ …
Fırat University (FÜ) Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry Lecturer
Prof. Dr. In his statement, Mehmet Yaman proved in 1970 that lead and
polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons that pollute the air in the world significantly
reduce the IQ values of children in the womb and in the 0-6 age group.
