2. In Paloma de Papel it takes you to a small village in Peru and how there are
terrorist rebelling against the national government.
In the movie it shows how a young child gets kidnapped for a mild mistake and
is taken away from his mother for two months to a terrorist camp and trained
to fight against the government.
Then is told to kill one of government soldiers they had captured and does not
so he ran away and the rebellions ended up coming back to the village
threatening to kill any traitors. The young boy then gets imprisoned for being a
terrorist when it all was just a mistake.
At the end of the movie it shows how he goes back to his native village after he
gets out of prison a grown man and everything is gone he is left with nothing
but his to childhood friends.
In “Death in the Andes” it is based upon the same kind of theme.
3 men have disappeared and the Peruvian Army have been investigating where
they have gone while guarding the town from the Shinning Path guerillas,
which they assume that are responsible for their disappearance.
