3. Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine
To be admitted to AZCOM, students must have
completed five specific prerequisite courses with
grades of C or better, should have a GPA of at least
3.0, and should have earned a bachelor’s degree.
Prerequisite courses include biology with lab,
general chemistry with lab, organic chemistry with
lab, physics, and English composition. Competitive
MCAT test scores are also required; in 2014, the
average MCAT score for admitted students was 29.
Additionally, students must have two letters of
recommendation, one from a science professor and
one from either an MD or a DO.
