● Most Brazilians are catholic,then protestan,then
no religion and there are some other religions.

● In Brazil you will see people playing football all
day.
6. Carnival
● Carnival is celebrated throughout Brazil, and
each city has it in its own unique way. This
celebration takes place 46 days before Easter
and,. This celebration technically and
traditionally is the giving up of meat for Lent.
Today, Carnival is a street party with loud
samba music, colourful costumes and many
floats. These celebrations carry on, day and
night, for days.
7. Fiesta Junina and P.F.F
● Fiesta Junina is a Catholic party celebrating the
belief of St John bringing everybody rain. Men
and women dress up as farm boys and girls
respectively, and many return to their
hometowns to visit their families.

The Parintins Folklore Festival is Brazil’s 2nd
most popular party held in the Amazonas state,
the festival is about an ox that was revived.
Each party lasts about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
8. New Years and Oktoberfest
● Rio has 1 of the most popular New years party.
There are tons of fireworks and music festivals.
● Oktoberfest is a German holiday which is
surprisingly very popular in Brazil. People eat
and drink German food and drinks,such as
beer.It celebrates Prince Ludwig's and Princess
Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen's marriage

● The next Olympics will be in Rio de Janeiro
or will they?
● Protests by homeless citizens were trying to
keep the Olympics out of Rio. Most of the
protesters in Rio de Janeiro are homeless.
They do not want to spend millions of Real
Dollars for Olympics and would rather have
the money spent on houses.
● The next Olympics could be in London or
Moscow.
11. Foot Volley and Brazilian Jiu
Jitsu
● Foot Volley is like Football but you have to keep
the ball in the air and hit it over the net. People
do skills and tricks a lot in Foot Volley like
Bicycle Kicks,Scissor Kicks etc.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is very popular in Brazil. The
sport is very similar to Judo. There are many
competitions for Jiu Jitsu.
