7. What I think?
Since young,I am a huge fan of glamor photography( like from Victoria secrets) ,fashions
and finally my idol Kylie minogue .I love her pop music and her sense of fashions. I have
wondered how does a photo brings out a model’s expressions beside the fashion they are
wearing. Its had been a mystery to me until I came about this book “kylie’s fashion.” That is
where I got really inspired by William Baker’s photography works.

8. When I first see his work, I was deeply mesmerized by how he has
captured the expressions from the models. The expressions felt so
strong as though it is going to lure me into the picture itself. I love
how he use different medias to bring out his photography works.
Although it is glamor photography, but he uses different colours,
scenes and expression to bring a picture out to life. He is willing to try
out different challenges to make a picture iconic. I feel this is really an
inspiring skill to master, playing with lighting and expression.

9. My favorite picture is from KYLIE KylieXTour2008: . The picture from kyliextour2008, got my
attentions the most. The first thing that occurred in my mind, what is the outfit made of and why does
he want to take this shot. Then I read up that it is a skeleton chiffon dress made by Jean paul.
Chiffon!!! I was like WOAH. The outfit was inspired by Elaborate Black madonna religious icons.
And for this theme, it reflects a “darker” personality of Kylie Minogue. Her eyes were telling me
something like something powerful is going to happen BEWARE. with the sharp eye lashes really bring
the whole “dark” features out.
From this reading, I get to realize myself more and realize that I will be the artist who will show my
artworks with expressions. I strongly believe that nothing is impossible to achieve. I love works with
hidden meanings. in all my works, I will do my best to express the expressions in my artworks. After
all, I will say, “your eyes are the wonder of self expressions.”
