2. What It Is
 Occupational
safety is an area
concerned with
the safety, health,
and welfare of
people engaged
in work or
employment.

3. Goal
 The goal of occupational safety is to
provide a safe and healthy working
environment by providing guidelines
and rules.

4. What is a healthy working
environment?
 Health’s definition is a state of complete
physical, mental, and social well being and
not merely the absence of disease or
infirmity. Occupational health and safety
means you are physically, mentally, and
socially safe in your workplace.

5. Occupational Safety In
Education
 While during other jobs, physical safety
might be a major issue, it is not quite the
same in the field of education. Physical
safety is knowing the basics, such as
where the fire exits are and procedure
for tornadoes, earthquakes, intruders,
etc.

 However, legal safety
can be an issue in
education. One should
always be sure to be
appropriately touching
the children, never
invading personal
space or hitting the
children. One should
always speak kindly to
the children, never
cursing or yelling. This
could result in some
legal trouble.
