1‐ Lista de Consultores

A Reunião com a Comissão de avaliação do Qualis de periódicos da área de
Química foi realizada nos dias 08, e 09 de dezembro de 2011, no edifício sede da
CAPES, com a presença do Coordenador da área de Química, Prof. Luiz Carlos Dias,
e do Coordenador Adjunto, Prof. Adriano Lisboa Monteiro.

2 ‐ Definição de Periódicos pela Área e Discussão dos Estratos do Qualis

O Coordenador da área de Química na CAPES, Prof. Luiz Carlos Dias, deu as
boas vindas aos membros da Comissão da área de Química responsáveis pela
avaliação do Qualis de periódicos da área e destacou a importância da reunião para o
acompanhamento dos programas de pós‐graduação na área.

O Comitê de área definiu como “periódicos” somente aqueles com índice
de impacto (I.I.) igual ou superior a 0,1 no JCR/ISI mais atual. Não foram
considerados “periódicos” aquelas revistas que não seguem pelo menos um dos
seguintes critérios: a) ter periodicidade pelo menos trimestral; b) estar atualizada
em 2011; c) ter corpo editorial; d) constar de alguma base de dados; e) ter avaliação
pelos pares; f) ter ISSN; g) ter uma página eletrônica de fácil acesso e atualizada.

De acordo com estes índices, foram classificados como:
A1 periódicos com I.I. igual ou superior a 4,0;
A2 periódicos com I.I. inferior a 4,0 mas igual ou superior a 3,0;
B1 periódicos com I.I. inferior a 3,0 mas igual ou superior a 2,0;
C as demais revistas.

Periódicos internacionais novos ou resultantes de fusão de dois ou mais
títulos, ou devido à mudança de denominação, mas ainda não encontrados no JCR,
foram avaliados pelo Comitê com a ajuda da Comunidade e das informações
disponíveis sobre corpo editorial, editora e outros indicadores semelhantes.

Conforme decisão do CTC, o número de periódicos nos estratos A1+A2
deve ser de no máximo 25%. O percentual de A1 deve ser menor que o de A2 e
a soma dos percentuais A1+A2+B1 deve ser de no máximo 50% do total de
periódicos publicados nos estratos A+B.

O Comitê levou em consideração o percentual de artigos em cada extrato,
mantendo os seguintes percentuais: A1 menor que A2; A1 + A2 próximo de 25% e
A1 + A2 + B1 próximo de
50%.

Revistas que foram descontinuadas antes de 2010 foram consideradas como
não periódicos.

5. OBSERVAÇÕES IMPORTANTES
Na classificação pelo número de títulos, o percentual de periódicos no estrato A1
(11.26%) é inferior ao do estrato A2 (11.41%), estando A1+A2 abaixo do valor limite de 25%.
O percentual de A1+A2+B1 está dentro do desejado (45,76%), abaixo dos 50% estipulados

pelo CTC. No entanto, o percentual de periódicos no estrato A2 está muito próximo do
percentual de periódicos no estrato A1.
Em virtude das travas da CAPES, o Comitê não descarta, para o próximo ano, a
possibilidade de alteração dos limites de índices de impactos nos estratos no QUALIS para
valores superiores.
Para evitar duplicação dos periódicos que apresentam ISSN diferentes para as versões
online e impressa, os programas devem cadastrar no coleta apenas a versão impressa.
6. DISTRIBUIÇÃO DOS PERIÓDICOS E ARTIGOS CLASSIFICADOS EM FUNÇÃO DOS ESTRATOS
Na tabela abaixo, são considerados os percentuais, sem contabilizar os periódicos no estrato C,
considerando o total de periódicos como sendo 1350.
Considerando o total de periódicos como 1873, os percentuais dos estratos ficam como abaixo:
