Total marks: 60
Word limit: 2500 words
CATEGORY DESCRIPTION EXAMPLE

A topic that crosses modules is acceptable
“Evaluate the motivational strategies employed
by ABC Company Limited in light of Abraham
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory of
Motivation.”

be derived from the stated specific objectives
in the syllabus.

the use of the theory more practical at
ABC Company Limited.

“Based upon the research conducted, it can be
said that management saw Maslow’s Belonging
Needs as important in the organization. This
was demonstrated through the use of teamwork
within the organization, a recreation room and
sports and family days. The organization
believed that interaction amongst its workers
was very important to motivate its workers.”
INTERPRETATION OF
RESULTS

Examine the pros and cons of the use of any

“For example, with regards to my example with
the belonging needs, it can be noted that the
recreation room may cause workers to be less
productive since they may focus on activities
there rather than work. Also some employees
may not like teamwork and it may actually be
de-motivating then having the opposite effect.”

“It can be said that management may need to
set strict rules for the use of the recreation
room. For example, it can be used only during
the lunch hour or after work. Also they may
want to provide training as to how to effectively
work in teams in order to allow workers to
better cope with this situation.”

This was demonstrated through the use of teamwork within the organization, a recreation room and sports and family days.
