4. Old Cathedral Clock in Lyon This beauty is 700 years old, there are no words to describe what you feel when you see it... Still ticking... So profoundly medieval and romantic... No offence, but I think France does not really appreciate own legacy of art, crafmanship and historic heritage... Nobody even regards this as an extraordinary achievement and tribute to human spiritual values... I can think about only if it were in England or Italy... God knows... XIII Century Clock in Rouen Rouen is burning place of Jeanne D'Arc,- French national hero, who saved France from English invasion and was later accused in witchcraft by inquisition and burned alive. "Grateful" French king has done nothing to protect her... Clock is still functional and probably can tell many things about this fascinating lady...
