Singapore’s growing economy has forced this country to give permanent residency to only the best and brightest specialist. Permanent residency in Singapore was only 1.5 percent in 2010. Professionals may qualify for permanent residency and citizenship.

3. Singapore’s government over the past years has increased minimum income and residential requirements. Because of this the competition amongst professionals is at its highest. Other countries like Australia have made it even more difficult for foreigners to receive permanent residency. Poor English skills make it difficult for foreigners to receive permanent residency.
