This document provides information about a Lean Project Delivery Fundamentals workshop that provides certification in Lean Project Delivery fundamentals from LCI-Canada. The workshop covers the basics of Lean project delivery including making the business case for it, understanding the principles and practices, and simulations to experience Lean concepts. It discusses different levels of Lean certification including fundamentals, coordinator, and facilitator levels requiring different competencies and experience implementing Lean project delivery systems. The workshop teaches the business case for Lean, what Lean is, if it can work for construction, and introduces Lean project delivery systems like Last Planner and Target Value Design through simulations and examples.

At a recent board meeting the Education Cluster proposed the following certification program that was adopted in principle. The LPD 101 course is a pilot and will form the basis for the Lean Fundamentals certification program.
