4. The Body of the Christian:
Rom. 12:1
• Present our body to God to accomplish His will.
– Body is a living active instrument 1 Cor. 6:13
– Present body not to lusts, but to God to do
righteousness! Rom. 6:12-14; 1 Jn. 2:29
– Must abstain from sexual sin/defilement of the
flesh! 1 Thes. 4:1-8; Rom. 13:13-14

5. The Body of the Christian:
Rom. 12:1
• Present our body to God to accomplish His will.
Applications:
– Abstain from sinful uses of the body.

– Cleanse the heart – Use of the body clean.

6. The Sacrifice of Faith:

• Faith is a Presentation to God – Heb. 11:6, 4
• Sacrifice of Faith is the Christian’s
Life/Conduct.
– Fruits of righteousness - Phil. 1:9-11
– Unity of faith – Phil. 1:27
– Suffering for Christ - Phil. 1:29-30
– Working out salvation – Phil. 2:12
– W/out murmuring… Phil. 2:14-16
Is our faith that which God will accept?

8. The Sacrifice of Praise:

• God is praised when we confess His name in our

• Our assembled worship provides the opportunity.

– Neglect of worship is a refusal to praise God.

– Worship is a seeking of God’s favor.

– Private time provides an opportunity

9. Have You Become Part of
God’s Spiritual Priesthood?
• You can become this by obeying the gospel
and serving God faithfully! Gal.3:26-29; 1 Pet. 2
• The process of salvation includes your:
– Hearing & Believing the gospel of Christ. Rom. 1:16ff
– Repenting of your sin. Acts 2:38
– Confessing Christ. Acts 8:37
– Baptism into Christ for remission of sins. Acts 22:16
– Being faithful. Revelation 2:10
