Changing individual behavior is crucial when looking towards a sustainable future. Goals, such as lowering greenhouse gas emissions, reducing waste, and increasing energy and water efficiency can only truly succeed through public participation. Therefore, how do you start to shift individual/ personal habits as well as entice the greater public to participate in small gestures with positive effects.

We propose five social actions to address food security within the Wellington City region, strengthening the importance of a socially sustainable environment. A sustainable city is one that is reducing its ecological footprint whilst simultaneously improving its quality of life. Equal rights to food security and all basic amenities

4. SITE
Situated on Cuba Street, in the heart of Wellington’s CBD in an unused and under-designed area, our Urban dining , ‘green’ space, ‘green’ dining) will become a hub of Cuba Street
activity to dwell, eat, socialize and rest - a place to encourage (spark, feed,) conversation and act upon sustainable living. Education will come in the form of collective
knowledge, sharing of information, through the act of growing, picking, preparing, cooking, eating and disposing, and through time based events.
