Creator of site can be an individual or an
organization
► Look for an “About” page
► Look at URL & domain
► Do a separate search for author or organization
–what do other people say about them?

4. When was the site created or last
updated?
An older site can be an indication of
outdated information
► Check top or bottom of page for date
► Check the links, many “dead” links can mean the
site is no longer updated
► Does it matter?

5. Why was the site created?
 To Entertain?
 To Sell?
 To Persuade?
 To Educate/Inform?
