5CS’s Fun SPACE
     FACTS.
  Grade 5CS researched interesting
facts on SPACE using Wolfram Alpha
 then created this presentation using
      Microsoft PowerPoint and
             Slideshare.
        We hope you enjoy it!
Some astronaut
     training is done
        underwater.
             walking
      underwater is
       basically the
    same as walking
            in space.

Sound
Sound needs air to travel,
but there is no air in space,
therefore you can’t hear
people speaking without
using radios.

Stars The smaller stars are the
                                      longer the live, because
                                      they use less hydrogen
                                      fuel than bigger stars.
                                      When a star dies they
                                      expand and shed its
                                      outer layers turning into
                                      a dim white dwarf star.

Our Sun is huge, many thousands of times bigger than Earth.
Because it is so big it has very powerful Gravity. It is the Sun's Gravity
that keeps the Earth and all the planets from flying off into space!
The first person to discover gravity is Isaac Newton. He discovered
gravity when he dropped an apple from a tree. In space there is no
gravity because there is no gravitational pull from a planet.
       Did you
     know that if
     you were on
     Jupiter you’d
     be nearly 2.5
        times
heavier! By: Matthew.W, Jason and Alan

SPACE JUNK
What Is Space Junk?

Space junk is the collection
of objects in orbit around Earth
that were created by humans but no
longer serve any useful purpose. These
objects consist of everything from spent
rocket stages and broke down satellites. By Ben.A And Marcus.M
