4. The simple life
this ‘idea’ of serving God
as a missionary tends to
be made grandiose. there
is nothing really fancy
about it.

5. Working the fields
Some of the missionaries have been away from their family for
years. Many leave their families to be with His youth. One girl
who has come out here is all on her own for the next 3 years.
She just got food poisoning and doesn’t want to tell her family
at home incase they get worried. Her name is Anita.

6. Taking care of Family
Requires a tenacity to doing menial
tasks. Repetition, organization,
dedication, and a just getting up in the
morning despite the 35 degree weather.
The quest as always, is finding joy in
that:)

7. Building shelter for His people
It is easy to get discouraged with the magnitude of what is. But the thing is, need it be that
difficult? Need we be so far removed from all this? Can we not use our own God given
skill-set from wherever we are to somehow move towards a re-distribution of wealth?
