Congratulations on the design and creation of your new
Web 2.0 tool. As the developers of this tool it is your
responsibility to unveil it to the public. This will be the
first time the world will hear about your product so be
creative when introducing your tool. Also be very
persuasive and make people want to use your Web 2.0
tool. The more people who use your tool the longer your
product will be around!Think of other well-known
product unveils like the Apple iPhone, Windows 7, Xbox
One, etc. The more buzz your create for your tool the
better chance it has of catching on with the public.

Use the following criteria to evaluate your Web 2.0 tool:
Criteria 1: Access
1. Is the tool / product viewable in a variety of web browsers?
2. Is the tool free?
3. Will the tool be around for a while?
Criteria 2: Usability
1. Do you have to create an account to use the tool?
2. Is the tool easy to use?
3. Does the tool have a help section?
4. Does anything have to be downloaded and installed on the computer to use
the tool?
2. Criteria 3: Privacy
1. Does the tool allow you to restrict access of your work?
2. Does the tool protect your personal data (e.g. email address given when
account created)?
3. Does the tool allow you to retain rights to the content you create?
4. Can you save a copy of the product to your desktop for archival purposes?
Criteria 4: Workload & Time Management
1. Does the tool support private and public commenting (for individual and
group feedback)?
2. Is it possible to embed the tool into another site?
Criteria 5: Fun Factor
1. Does the tool provide opportunities for different types of interaction (visual,
verbal, written)?
2. Does the tool encourage collaboration?
Presentation
In your presentation it is your job to sell your product to the class. Make your
fellow classmates want to use your Web 2.0 tool. In addition to using the
above criteria in your presentation you must include a formal flyer in your
presentation. This flyer will get important information out to the public about
your product. You can create your flyer in Microsoft Word or Microsoft
Publisher.

3. 1. PowerPoint/Presenter- This individual will be responsible for creating the
Power Point for the group presentation using the 5 criteria listed on the
handout. In addition this person will be the main presenter when in front of the
class. This individual should have strong public speaking skills

2. Flyer- This individual in the group will be responsible for creating the flyer.
Remember the purpose of a flyer is to get your product out and make people
want to use your product. Be informative and persuasive when generating your
flyer. Let the public know why they should use your product.

3. Recorder-This group member will be responsible for the creation and
storage of all notes and research taking throughout the course of this project.
They will work closely with other group members when creating the Power
Point and flyer.

4. Demo- This individual will be in charge of showing the actual web 2.0 tool in
use. Whether it is in the form a video, podcast, blog, etc.

****Key Points
1. During the presentation 2 people in the group will be responsible for
handing out 1 flyer to each group. Mr. McCauley & Mr. Powell will print the
flyers for each group
2. When each group is presenting, the groups watching the presentation must
have one question for the presenters about their Web 2.0 tool upon completion
of the presentation.
