Peter Pan – the play has been 
in existence since 1904 and 
was written by J.M. Barrie
The main story line of Peter Pan? 
• Peter Pan was the boy who would never grow up. He was able 
to fly and spend his time in these crazy adventures on the island 
of Neverland as a leader of his gang called the lost boys. Peter 
Pan had adventures with mermaids, fairies and pirates.
Why is this a favorite story 
• I think I like the fact that Peter Pan never 
grew up. Took life in stride. Never had a 
care in the world, and was kind of cocky and 
wild.

Any important elements of the story lost due to 
the changes or was something important gained? 
I think over the course of time, the story took on different interesting elements. 
New characters were introduced, making the story interesting. Focus on Peter Pan, 
and his imagine changed over time. He became more arrogant and mean. 
What draws people of different cultures to this story? 
I think there are people who want to live vicariously through Peter Pan and enjoy the 
different adventures he endured. Some might find his attitude interesting and may 
wonder how he maintain any friends.

New characters were introduced, making the story interesting. Focus on Peter Pan, and his imagine changed over time. He became more arrogant and mean. What draws people of different cultures to this story? I think there are people who want to live vicariously through Peter Pan and enjoy the different adventures he endured. Some might find his attitude interesting and may wonder how he maintain any friends.
