3. RULES
The objective of this game is to score more
points than the opponent during the match.
Time of play is 60 minutes, divided into four
quarters. Football is played on a rectangular
field and there are two opposing teams of eleven players
each. When a team has possession of the ball, the object
is to move the ball to the end zone.
While players are playing, they have to keep two kinds of
positions. It depends if they are attacking or defending.
The dividing line in the middle of the field is called “line of
scrimmage”.

5. HOW TO MAKE POINTS
Field Goal (3 points)
A field goal is scored when the ball is place kicked
between the goal post behind the opponent's end zone.
Touchdown (6 points)
A touchdown is scored if the ball is thrown or carried into
the opponent's end zone.
Try for extra point (1 or 2 points)
After a touchdown is scored, the scoring team has an
opportunity to score additional points kicking the ball in
the end zone (1 point) or throwing or carrying the ball into
the end zone (2 points).

The National Football League (NFL)
is a professional American Football
league.
It's the highest level of professional football in the world and
is composed by 32 teams running for the championship.
The NFL was formed in 1920 as the “American Professional
Football Conference”. But the league changed its name into
“National Football League” in 1922.
The current champions are the “Baltimore Ravens”.
