It’s the year 2009 and this is not your fathers MLM anymore! So why
are so many people still using these tired rundown old methods of
marketing to their prospects? It’s time for an update and I’m going to
tell you just why those old cheesy MLM techniques just don’t work
anymore.
Have you ever seen someone, maybe in the grocery store or maybe
in line at the dry cleaners wearing a big flashy button that says some
thing to the effect of “ask me how you can work from home” or “ask

2. me how you can get rich fast”? Well I’ve seen it and all too often it’s
from someone who’s wearing sweat pants and then jumps in a beat
up car in the parking lot.
Do people ever actually go for stuff like that?!
Take the buttons off you guys and while you’re at it you can take those
silly signs off your cars too. Because in 2009 you can target way more
people online then you could ever get waiting in line at Wal-Mart and
you don’t have to look like a food to do it.
I’ve also never been a fan of the three foot rule. You know the thing
where you’re suppose to talk to anyone and everyone who comes
within three feet of you about your business. I’ve had this happen to
me before and believe me it is awkward!
Don’t put people in a weird position when they’re just trying to buy a
loaf of bread or get their hair cut. When you talk to people online you
totally get rid of the awkward factor and you meet people where they
will feel comfortable and not like they have to be on the attack
because some stranger is chatting them up in line.
The old days of MLM are dead and gone. The internet is here to stay
and the faster you learn how to properly use it the faster your home
based business is going to grow!
