2. NEXES Pilot in Romania Storylines
• The SEVEN storylines developed for the NEXES Pilot in
Romania demonstrate the full range of the new NEXES
functionalities, including Total Conversation, enhanced
location functionality, enhanced accessibility, automated
transmission of data and automated emergency calls
initiated by smart sensors.
• The NEXES Pilot aims to demonstrate the benefits of the
NEXES solution for all citizens, including those
experiencing communication impediments, disability or
special needs, and for emergency service professionals,
namely PSAP operators, Emergency Response
Organisations and First Responders.

3. Storyline 1 - Local Emergency Call
• Local call from a citizen experiencing an allergic reaction
• Demonstrate the benefits of Total Conversation and
Medical Data Exchange
• Highlight efficiency in PSAP-ERO-Ambulance Dispatch

4. Storyline 2 - Roaming Emergency Call
• Roaming call from a tourist involved in a traffic collision
• Demonstrates support for Language Preference, Total
Conversation and Roaming capability (including data
exchange)
• Highlight efficiency in PSAP-ERO-Responders Dispatch

5. Storyline 3 - Forest Fire
• A deaf citizen is lost in a forest that is on fire and uses the
NEXES App to call 112
• Demonstrates support for inclusive 112 response service,
through sign language over video, automated data
transfer and enhanced location capabilities
• Highlight efficiency in PSAP-ERO-Responders Dispatch

6. Storyline 4 - Public Alerting System
• Bucharest's North area is affected by severe weather
conditions and a truck carrying dangerous chemicals has an
accident
• The Public Authority entity (IGSU) issues a public alert to the
population on the adverse weather conditions and the traffic
accident

7. Storyline 5 - VoWiFi Emergency Call to Legacy PSAP
• A citizen falls in the basement, sustaining an injury. Unable to
walk, the victim uses the WiFi connected NEXES App to call

• Demonstrates the ability to contact emergency services over
VoWiFi

8. Storyline 6 - Automated Call to PSAP
• A fire in a home is detected by a smart sensor,
triggering an automated 112 call
• The system generates a message using TTS to
communicate with a legacy PSAP
• Demonstrates the value of automated emergency calls to
early detect an emergency and ensure the safety of
citizens

• Local Emergency Call from a citizen experiencing an
emergency
• Transparently facilitate emergency calls from
