2. Teams of 4
3. Keep a development blog and update regularly
4. You should physically design and make the game.
5. Try not to let your budget exceed 30EUR, keep receipts
as these will be reimbursed (to a maximum of 30EUR)
6. Use the schedule provided as a rough guide

MSc in Creative Digital Media / Games - Ludology
1. Time management turn based strategy game
2. Theme can be taken from daily life
3. 2 - 4 players
4. Distinct player types/themes/identity
5. Game must include both mechanics and player conflit
6. Game can include other challenges such as puzzles
7. Game mechanics/assets to include
• Dice & Cards
8. Low learning curve

3. Deliverables
• November 9th – Prototype Playtest
• Present the game, objectives, Gameplay (3 mins) using your development blog/
slideshare
• Playtest your prototype
• November 23rd – Kleenex Playtest
• Print out of the rule book for players
• Game play-tested by selected group who fill out a review form based on the
rubric guidelines (see next slide)
• Team to act upon and observe player reactions, feedback, comments
• November 30th – Official Final Submission
• Game replayed by the same group and re-evaluated
• Presentation to be made on the game by team including changes made due to
observations of playtest. This presentation to go online and embedded into your
blog
• Game submitted
• Submit copy of rule book and design document to webcourses
